I am pleased to welcome you to DutchCare, where everyone, most importantly our elders, has an important part to play within our human habitat.

DutchCare’s website aims to provide you with information to assist you in becoming familiar with the services, policies, beliefs and values of DutchCare. The Board, Management and staff are committed to the Mission, Vision and Value statements. We strive to make a difference in the lives of those who use our services

Today DutchCare provides a range of community and residential services to almost 700 elders of Dutch origins in Victoria.

We employ 190 staff including Registered Nurses division 1 & 2, personal care workers, staff who work in our kitchen, laundry, maintenance, administration and management functions. 80% speak a good level of Dutch, for those who don’t we provide formal Dutch lessons – at our expense, 100% of our staff have some level of post school training or education. As you will hear DutchCare is committed to upskilling our staff and recognising their commitment to making a difference in the lives of our elders. Our staff commit themselves 110% - no staff member walks out of our services on time! Not because they don’t want to but they realise if they don’t complete the work, then the next shift won’t have time either!

We are fortunate to have some 500 volunteers involved in our organisation. From the board who freely give their time and expertise, our auxiliaries who work to raise funds and raise some $60-80,000 per year, people who visit socially isolated Dutch elders in their own home, or provide activities in our residential aged care facilities to many, many other tasks. We would not be the organisation we are without them.

DutchCare provides itself in the consultation we do with or community through yearly consultations with the CEO around the state, regular meetings with clients and residents and with family members, we want to remain a community based organisation that empowers the people we reach.

DutchCare is known in the aged care sector as a vibrant, forward looking provider of quality care. We strive to provide fairness and equity to all who require our services and those who work and volunteer for this organization.
